- Wait, how am I gonna do this? (groans) Hey guys, this is Austin. And this very well might be the most overkill gaming monitor of all time. This is the 49 inch Samsung QLED Gaming Monitor. Do not open here. Open opposite side. (laughs) I have to do that whole thing again now https://visitcharlescounty.com/iconic-esports-moments-what-are-you-standing-up-for/?
I just saw there's a little label on the side of the box that this is Samsung DeX compatible. Yeah, of course, what else would you wanna connect your Galaxy S8 to, other than a 49 inch gaming monitor. I'm gonna have to set this down for a second. Woo! That's better. So we get what looks like a bracket to mount it, as well as a ton of cables. Wow, all right. I think you should really say something when the monitor stand is bigger than most other monitors by themselves.
Dude, this is so heavy. It's like everything about this monitor is what you expect to see, except twice as big and twice as ridiculous. Oh! It's so heavy. (laughing) Did I mention that this is a curved monitor? (laughing) What am I doing? Wait, hold on, hold on, hold on.
How are you supposed to do this? I don't even have enough room here. And now we've got the full 32 by nine QLED Gaming Monitor out of the packaging. This... I feel like I'm just repeating myself, but this is the most ridiculous thing ever. I mean, look at that. Oh! Oh! This is a wall bracket. You know, when you wanna mount your 49 inch gaming monitor to the wall. Hey Jimmy. - [Jimmy] Yeah? - Can I borrow you for a second? Are we secure right now? - Yeah. - Is this going to break when I try to pick it up? - [Jimmy] Jimmy certified it. - All right, Jimmy certified. This is actually the first time that a product has broken our filming area. It's literally just too big. Like, it just doesn't fit anywhere. So around back, not only are you getting a pair of HDMI ports, but you're also getting display port, mini display port, audio in, audio out, as well as two more USB 3.0 ports. But the real star of the show is well, this side. So, with everything set up you can see that this, this is something special. So the resolution of this guy is 3840 by 1080. So you can essentially think of this as two 1080 monitors. So to take a couple of windows here, I easily have enough room for say, that, throw up a web browser over on this side.
There's just so much room for activities. (laughing) Okay, well, so one of my questions with this would be do any games actually support this ridiculous 32 by nine aspect ratio? As you can see, CS:GO kind of does. I don't know why it's slowly expanding out here, but we've got it for the most part. This is ridiculous. So, in a game like CS:GO you're seeing that, especially on the edges, it actually looks like it's almost a bit of a fish eye effect. But that is so trippy. I feel like I'm almost playing this in VR just because it completely takes up my peripheral vision. Making things even better is that not only does this support 144 hertz refresh rate, which really does sort of add to the immersion, but it also is a freesync enabled display. So right now I'm playing on a little bit of a lower end system with an RX480, but I'm still getting like, 140-150 frames per second. Definitely enough to saturate the monitor and... Oh! It's so cool! Especially in CS:GO, you can see it; some things are a little bit oddly shaped. For example, the map and some of the HUD elements look a little bit warped just because they are so stretched across such a giant monitor. But that's a small price to pay for having something that looks this awesome. Next, we have PUBG. However, there's a problem. Not only is his head slightly cut off, but the settings menu doesn't exactly work on this monitor. So let's see if this actually will work. All right, so in the game it seems like everything is running reasonably well. I will say though, that it is very obvious that this a crop. So even though we're running at the full resolution, you can see that like, a lot of the bottom and the top of the screen have been cut off. So instead of getting something that's wider we're actually just getting something that's been sort of chopped.
But I'm curious to see how that actually affects game playing. That crop is actually really serious. I'm basically only seeing from his shoulders up. You know, for a game like PUBG, yeah, it's probably not gonna be the end of the world. It is nice to be able to kinda see a little bit of a wider field of view, but it's not quite that same experience without being able the pull out the POV. I get it, they don't wanna give people an unfair advantage by having a super wide monitor, but I also don't like the idea of having so much of this cropped. Performance-wise though, it's not too bad. With this system, we did crank it down to low settings, but because we have freesync everything is pretty smooth, even though we're around 40 to 50 frames per second. I can't get away from the idea that this looks really cool. Oh, oh no! Oh no! No! Don't wreck the truck! Don't wreck the truck! No! (laughing) Oh, this is fun. Oh, yeah. So now we have GTA 5 and actually again, this is a game that does seem to support that full aspect ratio. I'm actually kind of impressed by how well games are supported by this. So not only is it kinda cool to be able to get that wider field of view, but you also have to keep in mind that it's not going to be that crazy to drive. Sure it is a very, very large monitor, but it's only a 3840 by 1080 display. That's going to be wide, but it's really not going to be that much more than something like say, a 1440p monitor. And of course, with freesync, if you do have an AMD graphics card you're going to be getting those extra smooth frame rates. Next up we have DiRT 4. Now I feel like a racing game is really perfect for something like this to get that full widescreen experience. Now the menus don't support the full resolution, but I'm hoping the game does. If not, I'm gonna be really disappointed.
Yes! This is so cool. Yeah, this is totally perfect. I mean, honestly, I keep making the comparison with a VR headset. But it does kind of feel like that. Obviously it's not that fully immersive experience, but you're getting something that is pretty much taking up your whole field of view. You know what? I'm gonna give Samsung props. This is a ridiculous monitor. Very, very few people are probably going to buy it. But, it's just cool. I'm just glad that someone just decided, hey, let's take a pair of super high refresh rate monitors, glue them together and make some giant monstrosity that actually is kind of cool. No, scratch that. It's really cool. So, does anyone actually need a 49 inch gaming monitor? Of course not. But, I will say it's actually not as impractical as I thought it would be. Yeah, it's gonna be a little bit unwieldy and you do have to have a pretty decent PC to drive it, but it's actually really pretty well done. So as always, the link to check this guy out will be in the description.
I'm curious, what do you think about this overkill monster? Let me know in the comments below and I will catch you in the next one.
We're good Motherboard all powered up we have our main power. We have our Eps 12er Atx12V. That's all the power you need Yeah, you could plug it the fans or whatever we'll worry about that later right now the us Go ahead and mount the cPU core right makes sense or should we put the hard drives in yeah hard drive is like easy Yeah, what do you think?
Again good reason to leave the plastic on here and leave that little thing on there because it's Gonna be popping around the inside of your machine, so The question is am I gonna run up? Optical drive, if you are then you're gonna want to mount it is know no one's asking that question No, one's Gonna mount out right now Also, damn bump it down one There we go cool Do we want to go this way? our optical drives necessary Ha yes, they are so I think so fake news Do you hook it up to your TV? Yeah? It's Really Taj is asking do you think this will run Crysis, maybe?
it will not Bring crisis nothing runs crisis. So there's a lot of chatter about Naktu as brown Esthetic. What do you guys think of it? I? think it looks great if you have God, I can't think of what center http://uscasinosguide.com/best-online-casinos-for-usa-players/.
Who's that nordic casemaker freckle design if you have like a fractal design white case Right I get that you get the fractal design white case you get all the nice brown accessories mmM Of course there makes a nice white case - you really were a little bit because there's limited edition. Yeah But that fractal look no, no the nzxt careful Right there. Thank you So are these fans pushing air into the case or pulling from the case and pushing out?
They're sucking out? So we're sucking air out So you want cool air from the outside? I think did I miss holy smokes And then there's something about having like a certain amount of air pressure. I got oh Yeah, the old positive air pressure thing boy. Yeah sure I Can't get that gordon does not believe in this well I mean, so there is a theory that if you sent all the fans to blow air into the case Then you don't get dust build-up.
I don't really believe that. I mean, I don't know maybe What does that even really an issue anymore with these higher-end cases that have the dust covers? True, no, I remember my first case did not have dust covers and my cat hair just got everywhere.
Yeah And then my second one I opened it up every once in a while to like clean it out, and I'm like oh It's fine. It's great Yeah, it really is you're you're positive. So you're you really believe in the positive Airflow well it's not so many holes so I don't I don't even know how you get any kind of air pressure in there Yeah, right. Yeah, especially a big case like this, okay? Yeah, you know Don't have any cats. I think is the answer Dog will save your life the cat will eat your body.
I guess about Lisa dog will try to save you Look up Cat lassie on YouTube I have seen that one. I'm saying not all dogs Also, we have a big question he asked this earlier, but I didn't get to it Ute Kourosh he's asking hey understands that we mentioned it's 70% for work 30% for gaming But it would be good to know how these would perform with the GTX card could you elaborate on gaming performance? Like what do you what? Do you expect it to be?
Oh well? It's a 1080I so I mean honestly you're talking ultra settings at 1440 40 or 1600 P. No problems You know some games at 4k Also, I guess if you want to push 240 or 140 Hurts panel at 1080 Plenty again, you know there is some argument that well You should be using quadro because it's a work machine. So you want 10-bit color you want all that other stuff well You know I? Can pick color paths are? Probably nice, but you're paying really pretty price for a quadro Just some of these Okay, so we're good there What as people wants to speed up? There's a whole point?
You you know what it's like if you went fishing and then you like okay. We're done half an hour. We got it Let's go. No, that's not the whole point the whole point is like go fishing and be gone the whole day I mean and to be fair He's been talking so much like you only is put away half a beer yeah too much talking too much talking so the question is Well, we are going to hope this works with this melts. You know reaction, or I didn't have a secret for that thing Oh, yeah, you want to has a special secret for that Yeah, I will shift well Dan was seeing them as he again and and we're not impressed.
He like well. I'm just gonna show you this cuz okay, we're just having fun here like check this out later, so I think it's cool, so Here we go, Adam. Just so you've heard can you do a pull? Okay, yeah, I'll put this out here Facebook youtube right now Gordon is gonna show you an extra special trick, and I'm just grown Yeah, you got a better seat. I gotta tell if it's this if it's impressive This is very different too, but look in the old days these were dudes these would be three separate cables They wouldn't be they wouldn't be ribbon cables So you like this looks kind of ugly right? So what you could didn't know this this is Robert Pierce I don't know where he got it from he may have gotten from somebody else Robert Pierce from Corsair who really has pioneered a lot of cool touches and cases gotta give him that Cleanness we did a really high-end case build to donate to some iraki Veterans Iraq War veterans on Reggie Veterans and Look, so you do this You don't really have to do it with new cases today because you say I'm not gonna look so you get a little nice big tail there Look at that, huh?
I mean they come with it, but People who they will go like oh, I want this certain brand real card And it's because they have this type of memory or this type of cooler, but then they don't they just like oh I'm just gonna buy any power supply. Well power supplies. Do you matter? Finally well I think we're gonna go ahead and wire the motherboard out all right.
So we're gonna move the back so we've already screw in the mother or the power supply everything old good its price wise and I Just run a cable say we'll just run some cables Todd did asks why not use Noctua Coolers? Why not use Noctua Coolers? I Know I was saying I don't really worry about that. Let's why it this way this is for the reduced That's pretty clever. So that's nice because they're CP powers here So it's really close you get that nice and tiny we're gonna come up here Wait a minute.
I need another four pins. I probably don't really need it, but it's optional This is your AtX12V EPs 12v, Connector Rookie mistake People plug in the main power connector again they forget to plug this and it won't boot They just won't boot nothing happens, and you go, what'd I do wrong. We got to plug in this up here this support Too dark there we go. No.
We're good. We're good. Okay. So again classic mistake Is you plug in your Atx12v or you plug in your main power connector is the official name for it? This is pretty good. Are you worried about?
Coverage with these coolers in the case You mean hitting cables know like getting enough good enough, Airflow I? Think we should be okay. You mean with the the water pool.
Yeah Yeah, because we're seven years to what what does that just one intake in the front or the others, too In front, so we're getting air blowing over the video card We're gonna have the air flows at the top and let this thing. It's just basically an open box at the top When you install your your main power connector make sure you get that all the way in you should click a little bit It's really hard to hear sometimes it only goes in one way So you can't screw that up same thing with here make sure the EPs 12v Atx12V is plugged in and side brings up a good point If you have a really talked case like this make sure you have cables that are long enough to reach up the back of eight display Oh no as I was just saying yeah If you have a real tall case like this make sure you have the cables that are long enough to reach here. We go So it's another one so again. So this board a lot of these high end boards. They have all kinds of extra power this looks like an 8 x 12 V connector I could probably get away with not plugging that in a lot of boards for the axillary power It's just if you're going to be running for video cards if you're gonna be doing Overclocking sports you need all that crazy amounts of power to it.
It probably runs. Fine without it I'm just gonna plug it in because then I can show you this so this is So we have already our EPs 12v. This is a 4 pin it's called Atx12V So we're Gonna go Well, okay, well this is a 4 pin.
Oh Really it must be it's not split. It's Gotta be split, right? Oh, yeah, this one split So you plug this into your cPU connector wherever that is not going to worry about it, but check this out? So you take this you go like well? I can't make it fit.
Well these are splitting There's a little bit of a tool there a little bit of a clip Where you're just gonna squeeze this sometimes you can just plug them in and Also, I messed up the question earlier. He's talking about coverage for the Processor Heatsink. Oh Like that does this are you worried about it covering the whole thing or is it too small. I you know I'm not worried about it now clearly and these guidances like yeah, it looks really weird because when you put that on there It's gonna make a circle about an inch and a half wide the rest of that Heat spreader is not touching anything Ideally you should have work you should there should be more contact Unfortunately for amd. There's really nothing that big out in the market today, so They you just seem it's fine, but I mean I know it's coming I I think people have to redesign for these big giant cpU so again. See I split it Oh, that's for the rear fan should people wait Well yeah, I mean you can't wait if you if you really want to like yeah You're gonna be pushing heavy overclock or something or you want They work fine if they didn't work and II would not have certify them to work So they do certainly they do say they work oh And I haven't seen here's that thing.
It's like this would be plugged in already. No, I have to find an open cPU Oh here. We go six plus, two although promove Flesh late in the mouth there yeah see Mana folding place only we had to nan much of the power supply Yeah, if we only had ma I wouldn't have to worry about it. So there we go.
SAM: Don't have any magic wielders among you? MATT: "We've got scattered mercs throughout the city, aye, but they work for coin, and half of "them are busy in other jobs." LIAM: We have coin. MATT: "How much you got?" LIAM: What do we got?
TRAVIS: Enough. TALIESIN: Let us know what it takes. Money is money and we have a long way to go and a lot to deal with, but we are happy to pay for the work that is done.
MATT: "All right. I can call someone in." SAM: We also may need some naval assistance-- LAURA: Specifically an airship of sorts-- TALIESIN: Or transportation, she's heading, she's on a boat, she's heading north to the island of-- TRAVIS: Glintshore. MARISHA: Or, you know, even if you know of any trees, big trees. MATT: He goes "Hmm. Ships, no, not much in the way of ships here in the middle of a desert, you're "looking for them sky-buggers.
Looking for a ship like that for seafaring types you're going to want "to go past the Agrin Mountains, then make your way towards the Bay of Gifts." MARISHA and TALIESIN: Bay of Gifts. MATT: "That's where you'll find the port town of Shamal."
MARISHA: Port town of Shamal? MATT: "Shamal. The mountain range is vast in itself, you're looking at, oh, at least a week on "foot to try and traverse those mountains."
LIAM: Did you say Bay of Gifs? SAM: Bay of Jifs, it's pronounced. MATT: "I'm going to fucking fuck you."
(laughter) TALIESIN: It's a local joke, I'm so sorry. MARISHA: The port of Shamal? SAM: There is a skyport near here, is that true? MATT: "Aye, it's over by the--" SAM: Controlled by the local government? MATT: "There's no one fucking controls the skyport." TALIESIN: We're not asking you, we have other friends as well.
MATT: "Well, if you're looking for speed, it's probably your best bet. Ships on this ocean, let's "say the weather's not usually handy." TALIESIN: We are looking for speed, and a crazy captain. MATT: "Well, wish you the best of luck." LAURA: Thank you. MATT: "Now, go!
Kill her. Give me her hand. I figure if time goes by and I haven't heard from "you, you've either died or I'll be sending some of our mercs to come find you." LIAM: Yeah, but the magic thing with the gun.
SAM: How long would it take to get this person who can remove a curse? TALIESIN: Or if you were going to go do something like this, who would you find in town? MATT: "If you're looking for fast, speedy, and immediate assistance with this, well, that's going "to have to run the cost up a bit, see. We have quite an enchanter that could probably help you "with that."
LAURA: Oh really? MATT: "Aye. See if in the next hour I could bring him in, but it'll run you, full disillusion or "whatever you need, 750 gold." TALIESIN: Not full disillusion, how about a transference? MATT: "Transference--" TALIESIN: To move the enchantment to another object.
MATT: "Well, takes--" LAURA: It's a much easier enchantment. MATT: "Moving something takes a little bit longer than to just get rid of something." TALIESIN: How much longer? MATT: "I dunno, not one of them types. But I mean, we've had a couple of enchantments moved in the "past, and that was anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, get that done."
MARISHA: Why don't we call them in and have them look at it? MATT: "All right." SAM: 750?
Do we have that to spare? TRAVIS: Yes. TALIESIN: That's worth its weight.
MATT: "750." LAURA: 750, or if you have a need of gems, we have gems. LIAM: You don't get fast and cheap.
TALIESIN: I know. SAM: Are you a gem lover? MATT: "I carry a bit of jewelry on occasion." SAM: I like you. What do we have? LAURA: So many things.
You should call your enchanter. MATT: "All right," and he goes ahead and pulls out a small tome of blank sheets, many you see have been torn out, and he makes a quick note on one, rolls it up very simply, doesn't do the usual rigmarole of an official writ, but hands it to the masked hooded figure in the corner who walks out and darts off. "Kyme'll be here in a hour." LAURA: An hour. SAM: Kine?
MATT: "Kyme." LAURA: Kynan? LIAM: Sorry, that rang a bell.

In this week′s Industry Insight, we′re going to talk about the nation′s casino industry. The Korean government believes the sector will greatly contribute to attracting more tourists and encourage spending. So two additional casinos are likely to be built in the nation′s free economic zones… and this time the government is allowing Korean firms to take part in the bidding. Kim Ji-yeon has this report. Will the opening of resort complexes... equipped with hotels, shops and casinos... bring investment and boost the economy this website?
The Korean government is betting it will. It believes it can raise one-point-eight billion U.S. dollars from the casino industry. Now, it′s letting Korean companies get in on the bidding, a privilege once reserved for foreign investors. Just last month, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance gave the green light to the development of two additional foreigner-only casino-and-resort complexes in the country′s free economic zones. It plans to select the two licensees by 2020.
Already, the country has attracted investors for two complexes on Yeongjongdo Island, located in the western city of Incheon. The Korea-based Paradise Group and the multi-national casino firm Caesars Entertainment Corporation are each building a resort complex there. Both are seeking to be the Korean version of Singapore′s Marina Bay Sands... which raised 5-point-4-billion dollars in sales last year. But challenges lie ahead if they′re to survive in the competition against the massive casino-and-resort complexes in Macao and Okinawa. But mainly, there′s the "China risk factor" the income of casinos in Korea is heavily reliant on visiting Chinese tourists. That′s because the Korean government currently bans its nationals from all casinos except one.
The casino in northeastern Gangwon-do province, Kangwon Land, is the only one Korean nationals can go to. The other 16 casinos rely on those with foreign passports. The tourism ministry says the combined sales of foreigner-only casinos is at around one-point-two-billion dollars,... similar to that of Kangwon Land alone. "The restriction placed on Korean nationals will affect the competitiveness of the Korean casino industry. The scale and amount of investment in the resort complexes is going to be smaller than in other neighboring countries."
Korea is capping investments in its complexes at 900-million dollars a year,... a figure far below that of its rivals. Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping is increasingly trying to root out gambling... as part of an anti-corruption campaign. That has raised fears the Chinese government will restrict its nationals from gambling... both at home and abroad.
Whether you’re taking a few courses online or you’re enrolled full time at one of the top online colleges, you may find it difficult to go the nontraditional route as an online student. You won’t see your professors every day, which makes it easier to shirk student responsibilities. You won’t have a campus to seek refuge for some peace and quiet. And you won't be turning in any assignments that were scribbled down while you were waiting in the hall for class to start. If you’re an online student building on your education by getting a new degree, or if you’re new to the college game and went the online route for convenience, there are five ways to ensure your success while taking online classes.
1. Set up an area to “go” to your online classes and to study:
If your space will be in your home, make sure the area you choose is quiet and separated from the main living areas. If you live with other people (your spouse, children, or roommates), try to put your desk in a room with a door that locks. Otherwise, you’ll have someone poking in every ten to fifteen minutes. Coffee shops and public libraries can also make great online college campuses. You can sustain yourself with coffee, get some free wifi and have access to online essay writing services and ton of books on your subject.
2. Set a schedule and stick to it:
At the beginning of the semester, set up a class schedule and a study schedule. Pretend you’re going to actual classes that have set times. If you schedule your online class for three o’clock be at your designated area at three o’clock on the dot. One of the challenges with taking online classes is that it’s easy to get distracted or burnt out and procrastinate doing the online coursework. One of the keys to success in online college is sticking to your schedule.
3. Get familiar with your online resources:
Do several Google searches and look for resources you can use for your online classes. Make sure these resources are approved by your professor.
4. Dress for success:
It’s easy to think that if you’re taking online classes that you can throw on your jammies and head for the couch. But what you choose to wear has a lot to do with your attitude. You’ll take your online classes more seriously if you’re dressed like you would for a traditional college class.
5. Sit up straight:
Good posture is associated with a longer attention span, higher test scores and less fatigue. It’s especially important to sit upright when you’re taking online classes. The act of sitting, staring at a computer screen and typing all day can be stressful for your body. By sitting up straight, you’ll lose less energy and you’ll be able to use that on what’s really important: engaging in your online classes.
We’ve all faced the times when we have to be focused on the task at hand, but can’t seem to muster the concentration needed to complete the task to the degree of quality necessary. While you can never fully eliminate this annoying speed bump to success, you can do things to curb its influence over your day.
Eat For Your Brain
Everyone knows that when you eat better, you feel better. If you make sure to put the best things into your body, you can be sure your body can perform at it’s best level, and the brain is no exception. Foods like blueberries, salmon, flaxseed and coffee in moderation are a great start. You should consider following natural foods blog to help you come up with delicious ways to feed your brain the nutrients it needs to be at 100%.
The Five-More Rule
This is a great one once you get used to it. Anytime you find yourself in the middle of a particularly draining task and you feel that you’d rather stick hot bamboo shoots under your fingernails than spend one more moment working on it, force yourself to do five more. Weather you’re reading a boring book, or working on math problems. If you can force yourself to do just five more before you decide to take a break, you’ll be even closer to accomplishing the task when you come back to it later.
Also you should know that some foods are said to have positive impacts on a college student‘s ability to study, but there are just as many foods out there that can have a negative impact. If you want to get the most out of your study sessions, you need to know which snacks to avoid. Here are five foods you don’t want to eat come study time.
Spicy foods will mess with your stomach and cause you to make instant bathroom runs. (Yes, that would be runs because of runs) you may love the
chili sauce, but you need to reserve that for another time. The last thing you want is an upset stomach while studying.
Turkey is very heavy, and it is guaranteed to make you sleepy. Try a different meat instead or eat a nice salad. This may not sound as delicious, but it will definitely help you study.
Bread is highly absorbent, so it will soak up anything you drink after eating it. This will make your stomach feel incredibly full, which will either cause a tummy ache or make you very sleepy. Try to eat crackers instead of bread. They’re not quite as absorbent, and they still taste great with most sandwich toppings.
This is more of a mess standpoint than anything else. Potato chips are inherently greasy, and they’re bound to make a mess all over your books. Stick with crackers or at the very least baked chips if you want to maintain some shred of cleanliness.
The sugar high from candy may be great, but it comes with a crash you won’t want. Try to each fruit instead because it contains natural sugars. Apples, oranges, pomegranates and more are all great for staying alert, and they will keep you awake or a longer period of time. Avoid eating gummy bears until after your test. Then you can pig out all you want.
I’m a huge supporter of using your free time to study. I think that is a wise thing to do, and I would never discourage anyone from doing so. However, I do know the damage that can come from over-studying. If you work yourself to the bone just to retain information, you are eventually going to explode. This article is written for the overachievers out there that just can’t seem to put the books down. You have to use your break to actually take a break. Here are a few reasons why it may be time to step away from the books long enough to enjoy your time off.
Avoiding a Huge Burnout
I used to be a workaholic, more so than I am now. I would literally get two hours a sleep at night just trying to juggle my architecture classes and work load at the same time. Eventually, it all got to be too much for me and just gave up on everything. It has taken me over a year to get back at a steady pace I can be proud of. That is what is known as a burnout my friends, and it is something you definitely want to avoid experiencing in the future. The less stressed you are now, the less likely you are to burnout early on.
Resting the Mind
If you want to be able to actually study for your courses when the next semester rolls around, you need to let your mind rest. You can only shove so much in there for so long. Eventually you have to pull the plug. By giving your mind a break, you will essentially clear out the storage space to make room for more information. Then you can actually study in the future without getting a major headache the second you look at the books. Take a break for now, and then you can get back to your studies when school starts.
Enjoying the Memories
As a college student, you likely don’t get to spend much time with your family. That is one of the downsides of being an adult. You just don’t get a chance to make the same memories you made as a child. If you take your break and actually use it the way it is supposed to be used, you will be able to make some of those memories again. You may not make as many as you did when you were a child, but you will have something to look back on.
Remembering the Past
This is also a good time to look back on holidays in the past and remember all the good times you shared with your family. Most people do not take enough time to reflect on their lives while they are in school because they are too busy focusing on their careers. You should take a break from all that and remember just how great your life used to be. I know this is getting a little on the mushy side, but you would be surprised by how much of a boost you can get from those memories. They may help you do better in the life you are living now.
Take this opportunity to truly enjoy the break you have. You don’t get many of them in school, and none of them are as long as the one you have now. By using your time wisely, you will have the best chance at studying well whenever you get back to school. Enjoy the holidays. The happiness is on the house.
